Macrourus berglax

Unique Characteristics: Six branchiostegal rays. Chin barbel present. Jaws subterminal to inferior. Lower jaw not composed of a few large canines. No ventral striae. Gill rakers absent on lateral side of first gill arch. Underside of head without scales. Pelvic fin rays usually 8.
