Unique Characteristics: One ORB photophore, anteroventral to eye. Premaxillary teeth biserial. Body with more than 2 rows of serial photophores. Dorsal adipose fin absent; dorsal-fin rays 14-17. VAV photophores 9-12; IV and AC photophore series straight, no photophores elevated.
