Howella atlantica
Unique Charactristics: First dorsal-fin spine less than half length of second spine. A cluster of 3-6 spines at rear end of opercle. Lateral line interrupted below gap between dorsal fins. Three rows of scales from lateral line to second dorsal-fin origin. Dorsal-fin soft rays 9 or 10; anal-fin soft rays 7 or 8; pectoral-fin rays 14-16 (FAO 2016).
