Grand Opening – Laurel Creek Confluence

June 14 @ 1:00 pm 5:00 pm

Snorkel Trail Ribbon Cutting

June 14 at 1pm By the town park caboose
Damascus Town Park, 202 South Beaver Dam Ave Damascus, VA 24236

The Blue Ridge Snorkel Trail is made up of publicly accessible river and
stream locations in Virginia and North Carolina where we can safely snorkel
and experience the underwater world. Each site is unique and offers a
different set of habitats and species to observe. During the spawning
season of spring and early summer, male fishes are often more colorful than
female fish of the same species. Put on a mask and snorkel and see!
The Laurel Creek confluence is teeming with wildlife!
A rich community of aquatic critters requires clean water, which benefits
everyone, whether you hike, swim, or fish. Restoring the forest, especially
along our streams, is a great way to improve our rivers.
