Campostoma anomalum
Unique Characters: Lower jaw with firm cartilaginous edge. Very long coiled intestine and black peritoneum. Breeding male with white tubercles and lips, red eye, and dark band in dorsal fin.
Similar Species: Juveniles may be confused with juvenile Nocomis, Rhinichthys, and Semotilus but these three genera all have pale peritoneums and Nocomis and Semotilus also possess barbels.
