Unique Characters: Subopercle asymmetrical (triangular). Lower lip with small fleshy knob at tip. Tip of lower lip not well in advance of anterior nostril. Body deep. Adult snout blunt and rounded. Tubercles large, larger on snout and dorsum of head than on opercles; tubercles present on most body scales.
