Hiodon tergisus
Unique Characters: Lateral line present. Breast without a sawtooth margin. Anal fin origin under dorsal fin origin. Found only in lower French Broad River in Madison County.
Similar Species:
Shads (Family Clupeidae) do not have a lateral line and possess a jagged keel along the belly.
