Unique Characters: Upper pectoral-fin rays almost entirely free. Front of tongue notched. Drab color, but usually dark brown. Back often crossed with saddles. Pelvic fins completely united to form a round sucking disc. Dorsal fins separated. Body stout. No chevron markings on sides.
