Similar Species: Dolphinfish Coryphaena hippurus. Small dark spots on sides. Greatest body depth in adults less than 25% of standard length. Pectoral fins of adults more than half length of head. Dorsal-fin rays 58-66. Tooth patch on tongue small and oval. Anal fin margin falcate.
