Dolopichthys karsteni

Unique Characteristics: Dorsal soft rays (total): 6 or 7; anal soft rays 5 or 6; pectoral fin rays 15 or 16. Dorsal mid line of escal bulb with single, darkly pigmented anteriorly directed papilla, flanked on each side; slender, compressed, posterior appendage; anterior margin lightly pigmented, length approximately equal to length of escal bulb; darkly pigmented swollen basal portion of posterior appendage (holotype).
