Muraena retifera
Unique Characters: Dorsal fin beginning above and near to dorsal-fin origin well-before anus (usually on head). Anal fin beginning just behind anus. Dorsal fin beginning above and before anus. Posterior nostril in tube; gill opening in black spot. Head brown, body and fins with large pale rosettes overlain with small dark spots.
Similar Species: Stout Moray Muraena robusta. Dorsal fin beginning above and near to dorsal-fin origin well-before anus (usually on head). Anal fin beginning just behind anus. Dorsal fin beginning above and before anus. Posterior nostril in tube; gill opening in black spot. Head dark, body and fins with large dark spots.
