Unique Characters: Body reddish-brown with red lower lip. Lower part of pectoral fin and margins of dorsal and anal fins bright red. Dark spot behind eye. Small simple cirrus (fringe) on head and branched cirri at nostrils. Segmented caudal-fin soft rays usually 13. Pectoral-fin soft rays usually 13-15. Dorsal-fin spines usually 12 or 13. Pectoral-fin soft rays usually 15. Lateral line consisting of 2 disconnected, elongate portions, anterior portion overlapping anterior end of the ventral portion. Total dorsal-fin elements 31 or 32.
