Unique Characteristics: Single row of 10-15 dark, ocellated spots along dorsal-fin base that blend into dorsal profile. Two dark bars radiate from eyes; sides variably mottled. Dorsal and anal fins continuous with caudal fin; pectoral fins broad; pelvic fins very small and short (Kells and Carpenter 2011).
