Platybelone argalus
Unique Characters: Caudal peduncle strongly depressed (flattened dorsoventrally) and with well-developed bluish black lateral keels. Beak very long and slender. Upper jaw shorter than lower jar. Body rounded or squarish in cross-section. No vertical bars present. Anal-fin rays 13-24. Least depth of caudal peduncle about half the width. Gill rakers present.
