Unique Characters: Elongate and round in cross-section with a broad mouth and a flattened head. 6-9 short spines precede the second dorsal fin. Pectoral fins long and pointed; caudal fin is forked. Back and sides dark brown, with 2 sharply defined narrow, silvery bands; belly yellowish.
