Unique Characteristics: Body slender, depth of body 3.6-4.5 times in standard length (22-28% standard length). Lateral-line scales 48-52. Gill rakers on first arch 9-12 on upper limb and 24-28 on lower limb, total 34-39. Anal-fin soft rays 7. Length of pelvic fin 20-> 87% standard length. Length of upper caudal-fin lobe 29-> 128% standard length; length of lower caudal-fin lobe 28-> 111% standard length; (individuals with well to extremely elongated pelvic and caudal fins are males).
