Unique Characteristics: Varying shades of yellowish brown to olivaceous; dark bars radiate from eyes; upper sides with dark, chain-like pattern; pectoral fins and margins of dorsal and anal fins may be yellowish. Upper jaw projects over lower jaw. Posterior of dorsal fin is much lower than rest of in; continuous with caudal fin. (Kells and Carpenter 2011).
