Notolychnus valdiviae
Unique Characteristics: Two Prc photophores. Four photophores (VLO, SAO3, Pol, Prc2) well above the midlateral line. Specimens usually skinned and photophores often lost; small species, never over 2.5 cm. Single SCO in both males and females; ICO absent in both sexes; dorsal photophores robust, with obvious black rim (FAO 2002; FAO 2020).
