Unique Characters: Last ray of dorsal fin elongated. Usually 25-37 anal fin rays and 52-70 lateral scales. Blunt snout with subterminal mouth. Large purple-blue spot on shoulder. Deep notch at center of upper jaw. Lateral line absent. Breast with a sawtooth margin.
